Business mobile subscription with Telia coverage

Image of a person making a callMany people put coverage and price at the top of the list when it comes to business mobile subscriptions. According to coverage tests, Telia does better than Telenor, but the differences are minimal. Whether a mobile subscription from Telia is cheaper than Telenor depends on which operator you use. However, it's often a good idea to look at more than just price when purchasing telephony. The pleasure of paying an initially low price can quickly disappear if there are unforeseen fees further down the line. If you want to see the comparison for providers of Telenor coverage, you can see this one.

Here's a comparison of operators that offer mobile subscriptions with Telia coverage, and what sets them apart.

Telia

Naturally, Telia uses its own network. In our experience, Telia itself has both good service and good distribution, with its 64 stores throughout the country. This means that Telia is generally available almost wherever you are. For example, if you need a new SIM card, you can pop into a store, which is usually located nearby. If you need to contact customer service, there are certain opening hours you must adhere to. However, these are quite friendly and allow you to call outside normal working hours.

Telia also adapts to smaller businesses with its own packages. This mainly involves the following "Roam like Home", where you can use mobile data in the EU/EEA in the same way as at home. In addition, Telia offers data rollover and subscriptions without a binding period.

Phonero

Phonero was acquired by Telia in 2017. For a relatively cheap price, you get good integration options when it comes to payroll, CRM system, calendar, or whatever it may be. "My Business" and "My Page" also provide a good and simple overview. My experience of being a Phonero customer is also that they have good customer service. It's mostly open and available when needed, both on chat and by phone.

Phonero also mostly offers data usage in the EU/EEA included in the subscriptions.

ICE

ICE uses its own coverage network in addition to Telia's. The way they do this is to mainly use their own network, and then switch to Telia's network where ICE's network is insufficient. This means that, in principle, you will jump back and forth between the coverage networks. On the other hand, ICE can boast of having a 75% coverage network. Compared to the other operators, ICE is good at service, and the functionality and price aren't too bad either.

As a challenger in the Norwegian telecoms industry, ICE is building Norway's third mobile network and is investing heavily in the country. In 2017, ICE was also honoured with the "Customer Service Award 2017". In addition, ICE was the first to start with data rollover.

Proximo

Proximo is also good in terms of list price, but not up there with Phonero. Adite's negotiated terms with Proximo generally turn out to be very good. This means that you won't have much trouble with lock-in periods and cancellation fees if someone quits or starts. If you order a subscription from Proximo yourself, they will probably not be as good, but still acceptable. In the past, we've experienced providers who have cancellation fees for each of the extra packages included in the agreement. For example, cancellation fees for both extra data and calls to the EU. Other examples include automatic renewal of the agreement. In other words, there aren't that many hidden and small, but significant, sentences somewhere on page 19 at Proximo.

Proximo also offers free usage in the EU/EEA, as well as data rollover. Another thing is that it should also be easy to expand with extra data, so you can access more data when you need it rather than buying large data packages every month in case you need it.

Telavox

Basically a Swedish supplier of switchboard systems. In Sweden, it is common for there to be different companies involved in corporate networks and mobile subscriptions. Telavox has not sold mobile subscriptions in Sweden, but has started to do so after expanding to Norway. It's difficult to compare Telavox on the same criteria as it's a relatively new player that few of our customers use. Nevertheless, Telavox has a simple and clear website with different packages and prices, which isn't too bad either.

There's no doubt that there's a lot to consider when purchasing a new telephony solution. Not only is there a lot to keep track of when making the purchase, but it can also be expensive to choose a supplier that doesn't suit your business. Furthermore, it's a job that needs to be done on an ongoing basis in order for things to work. This is exactly the problem we solve at Adite, where we can guarantee that you have nothing to lose. Because we don't charge unless you save money.

What should you look for, other than good Telia coverage?

Purchasing a business mobile subscription is not considered a strategic purchase. If you look at the potential for an improved deal, there is often a lot to save.

When it comes to telecoms, a company's needs are constantly changing. If someone leaves, if more people are hired, if data usage changes, or if the company moves physical location, the need for telephony and broadband will also be affected. It is particularly unfavourable to be tied to a poor agreement for several years if the terms are poor.

In other words, functionality, distribution, data usage, self-service portals, service and price need to be taken into account. Not just when purchasing, but from month to month.
It's often in these areas that you'll see big differences between suppliers.
