Even though it is "two and a half" mobile networks in Norway, there are far more suppliers offering telecoms services. So what's right for your business?
The largest players in Norway as of 2022 are:
Telenor - which continues to grow in the business market and is clearly the big brother with approximately 70% market share.
Telia - which since 1993 has taken up the fight against Telenor with its own mobile network, as the first privately owned mobile operator in Norway.
Norwegian operators use either Telia's or Telenor's network, aiming for different market shares in a market with a total turnover of NOK 20.4 billion.
Some of the suppliers are well-known players with a large market share, while others are smaller challengers. For Norwegian companies, it's almost impossible to keep track of what's available in the market, and not least whether the supplier they have and are considering is right for their business.
It can be difficult to know how good the current deal really isand what opportunities the company actually has. Is there a potential for savings by switching, or can you benefit from a renegotiation where you are? What solutions are out there, and what's right for your business?
The different suppliers differ from each other on, among other things:
Many people prefer Telenor's mobile network and have been using it for years. What determines whether the mobile network is perceived as good or bad is pretty much where you live and stay. Telia's mobile network is by no means inferior, even though it is a newer player.
