Modern telecoms solution gave Odfjell more profitability and a better overview

Odfjell is a multinational company that specialises in the shipping of chemical liquids used in the production of a wide range of everyday goods.
With terminals strategically located all over the world, they rely on good communication at all times. 

At the time of writing, Odfjell Management has just over 160 employees and around half a billion in annual turnover.

Three good reasons why Odfjell needed to replace its existing telecoms solution

  1. Landline telephones provide less flexibility for employees. Among other things, it will not be possible to work from home.
  2. Landline phones need to be replaced when the landlines are cancelled. 
  3. A desire to digitise.

The landline phone had to go, but what alternatives are there in the market today? In recent years, we've seen a number of players establish themselves, as well as significant price changes for various telecoms solutions. 
Odfjell also had a very confusing situation. They had more than 250 employees, each with their own desk and different preferences.

There was little doubt that the telecoms solution needed to be improved, but for Odfjell itself, keeping track of the telecoms market is not easy.

Odfjell and Adite carried out interviews with individuals from the various departments to identify which needs had to be met.

The aim was to get everything up in the cloud, enabling employees to work efficiently wherever they are in the world, while meeting the needs of the various departments.

We agreed to conduct a full tender with the suppliers Adite knows can deliver to Odfjell's expectations.

Adite took care of the entire tendering process, collecting offers from the relevant suppliers and presenting them to Odfjell.

Another reason why Odfjell wanted a good telecoms sparring partner was to see what options were available.
For example, Odfjell chose to use Skype with voice and mobile telephony in the same solution. Some have so-called one-number, i.e. Skype on the mobile and PC call simultaneously. Some prefer that calls to a landline only go to the PC and that Skype calls go to the mobile.  

Odfjell's previous supplier was Telenor. Now Odfjell has chosen Telenor again, but with the help of Adite achieved a better solution;

  1. More modern and more flexible for employees. 
  2. An agreement that has cut costs considerably. 

In other words, Adite has no incentive to make you switch suppliers. Our aim is to help businesses get the very best deal while cutting costs. Whether that's with a new supplier or an existing one.
