Best business mobile plans 2020

Which business plan and provider is best for your organisation depends on a number of individual factors.

That's why it's difficult to find the right 100% plan for you. In the business market today, there are 15 different providers with several different subscriptions. There is often a small difference between the various solutions, but in the big picture it can make huge differences. So who can actually deliver it? best corporate subscription?

In order to make this as relevant as possible, we have taken as our starting point various factors that are central to a needs analysis, and then categorised them by data usage per month.

In addition, please note that these are "public prices" at the various suppliers, and it will be possible to obtain discounts, especially for larger companies. Adite is able to negotiate the best discounts on corporate subscriptions, but this is of course based on each company individually. The results in this comparison are completely objective. Adite is completely independent of all suppliers in the market and has no incentive to recommend one supplier over another.

For companies with more than 100 employees the maths gets very complicated, and we recommend you get an individual (free and no-obligation) analysis of your potential cost savings by choosing the best supplier.

The basis for finding the best business plan

Coverage. Many people have a perception of which coverage network is best, Telenor or Telia. Perhaps the most important thing is where you are, but even which phone you have can have an impact.
Functionality.
Service. How accessible is the supplier if something should happen?
Terms and conditions. Not everyone is equally aware of the small print on page 19 of the agreement.
Enterprise network. For many businesses, a well-functioning corporate network is essential, especially for medium-sized and large companies.
Price. What is the total price?
Need for data packages. If you have uneven data consumption, there's a lot to be saved by choosing a provider that doesn't charge a lot for overuse.
Bank ID
. Some providers charge extra every time you use bank ID.
Calling abroad
. If your employees are travelling a lot, the costs of not having a customised subscription are high.
Mobile usage outside the EU
. Typically, providers divide the world into four zones with different prices for voice, messaging and data usage. The price differences can vary enormously.
Price for corporate network
. For many, this is an essential part of a telecoms solution. For smaller businesses, it's not always as important.
Need for data card
. Being able to use the same subscription on several different devices is far cheaper than buying a subscription for each device.

What is cheapest and what does Adite recommend?

Based on the factors mentioned above, we have selected the providers we recommend most often. These are rarely the cheapest if you're only looking at business mobile subscriptions. On the other hand, they are best suited to deliver everything that is important in addition to price.

1 GB

Cheapest corporate subscription: ICE
Recommended by Adite: Atea
Atea wants to challenge the duopoly in today's market. One of the reasons why we recommend Atea is that they have a number of services beyond mobile subscriptions that work well. Among other things, switchboards.

They write the following on their website:
The business market for mobile phones is a duopoly where two major players have 95% of customers and margins of 30-40%.
Halving the margins would free up more than NOK 2 billion for Norwegian companies to invest in people, ideas, innovation and development.
As a driver for the digitalisation of Norway, Atea is therefore starting to offer no-strings-attached subscriptions on all our mobile subscriptions.

5-10 GB

Cheapest corporate subscription: Chilli Mobile
Recommended by Adite: Dipper

Dipper specifically targets small and medium-sized businesses, and has previously pointed out that companies with up to 100 employees account for approximately 99% of Norwegian businesses. It should be easy and affordable, because growing businesses have better things to do with their time than mobile telephony.

20-40 GB

Cheapest corporate subscription: Proximo
Recommended by Adite: Phonect

Phonect has been providing telephony services since 2014, utilising Telenor's coverage network. They also offer business networks, IP telephony and Skype for Business, making them a provider that can deliver a wide range of services.

40 - 60 GB

Cheapest corporate subscription: Nortel / Chilli Mobile
Recommended by Adite: Telenor

Telenor is well known to most people, both in the business and consumer markets. They're rarely the cheapest, but they deliver good services and are available 24/7 for customer support. With resellers all over the country, they are also physically available.

Adite negotiates deals on behalf of everything from small businesses to listed companies on a weekly basis, while remaining completely independent of all suppliers.

On average, we cut 40% of telecoms costs for our customers

The reason why most companies pay far too much is largely due to the incorrect composition of the solution. Many pay for functions that are not necessary and do not optimise the agreement on a regular basis. With such rapid development in the industry, it's incredibly difficult to know what the best deal is at any given time.

Mobile subscriptions are far from the only important thing

For businesses, the mobile subscription is often the most important aspect of telecoms. However, a complete telecoms solution is more comprehensive. One factor not included in this test is, for example, calls and data usage abroad.

Firstly, it can be decisive whether the provider can also offer a mobile business network. And secondly, what functions the corporate network has. Integration with other platforms and functionalities, presence information, voicemail forwarding to email, self-service, app and queuing should also be taken into account.

Secondly, broadband and IP telephony will be useful for crucial for some businesses.

Impossible to say for sure which supplier is best

Every company has its own individual needs when it comes to telecoms solutions. That's why it's essential to purchase a customised solution. Adite does this job as a completely independent third party, and knows very well who can deliver what.

Developments in the telecoms industry are happening incredibly fast. The services and prices offered change frequently, and in 2019 alone, three new suppliers have entered the business market. This can make purchasing and optimising your telecoms agreement a time-consuming and frustrating task. Over a longer period of time, not having the optimal solution can also be very costly.

How can you find the best supplier yourself?

Firstly, you need to determine the needs of your employees, what is absolutely necessary and what is not. After analysing your needs, a good approach is to conduct a tender process with all the players in the market. Then you will also achieve better prices than the list prices available online. Of course, conducting a tendering process can be an extensive job, but the savings are often very significant. On average, we cut 40% of telecoms costs for our customers.
