With this in mind, it is natural to de-prioritise this type of decision, which can also be a reason for outsourcing. Nevertheless, it is possible to cut quite large costs. Here are some things to consider when it comes to telecoms procurement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First and foremost, it's important to think about what you need.  Is that Rolls Royce solution absolutely necessary?  Do you need something a little smaller?  Who delivers what? This may sound like a no-brainer, but for many this is easier said than done.<\/p>\n<p>Here we have listed some key points that should be taken into account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coverage.<\/li>\n<li>Self-service portals.<\/li>\n<li>Data usage.<\/li>\n<li>Functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Service.<\/li>\n<li>Distribution.<\/li>\n<li>What are employees actually using the solution for?<\/li>\n<li>What is the total price in the agreement we enter into?<\/li>\n<li>How is the solution built?<\/li>\n<li>Last but not least, what's in the small print? This is about whether you can see whether the switchboard is available or not, or when a person is available.  Does your company have a high number of enquiries through the switchboard? If so, this will definitely affect purchasing.<\/li>\n<li>Self-service portal for changing the solution, for example by adding a voice message by email.<\/li>\n<li>What happens if no one answers at our switchboard, can you leave a voice message that goes to an email? Can you connect more people automatically if everyone is logged out?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Not everyone thinks about these functions to the same extent. However, increased accessibility to incoming enquiries can certainly be said to be positive.<\/p>\n<p>Weeding out the unnecessary can have a major impact on which subscription your organisation should choose. The potential for cost savings is huge. Here, too, it's about what you need - do you want it?  Are they nice to have?  Or is it essential for us to survive?<\/p>\n<p>You're probably busy prioritising other things than just this. However, the fact is that this can also quickly become a significant, not to mention unnecessary, cost for your organisation.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What is the most common reason companies choose to switch suppliers?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>You're dissatisfied, plain and simple. In our experience, the reasons why companies choose to switch range from the coverage they have, how the solution works, or the price they pay. A telecoms agreement usually has a long-term perspective. However, the offers change in line with changes in the industry, which happens quickly. For example, if you sign a three-year agreement for a business mobile subscription, the last year will probably be quite overpriced.
